Life Update
Somehow, we’re already well into the new year, and time feels like it’s moving both impossibly fast and beautifully slow. The days have been full—of little moments, big milestones, and the kind of busyness that comes from a life well-lived.
We recently had Wren’s two-year-old photos taken, and they are nothing short of perfect. O&L Photography captured him exactly as he is right now—wild, curious, and completely full of life. It’s hard to believe how quickly he’s growing, leaning fully into this new age with all the energy of a tiny hurricane. Life with a two-year-old moves at one million miles per hour, but I wouldn’t have it any other way.
January surprised us with real snow in Georgia—something rare and magical. For a brief moment, the world felt softer, quieter, as if time itself paused just long enough for us to take it all in. It didn’t last long, but that’s the thing about moments like these—they don’t need to.
We also welcomed a new nephew, River, into the world. There’s something about a newborn that reminds you just how small and new everything once was. We made a trip to Knoxville to see our best friends, Ann and Brady, and meet their sweet baby girl, Izzie. It’s a special kind of joy to watch the people you love step into new seasons of life.
Meanwhile, Larry has been pouring himself into his writing on Substack (@huntgathertrade), and I’ve been focused on preparing my students for ACCESS testing. Different kinds of work, but both deeply meaningful in their own ways.
So far, this year has been a good one. Full, fast, and layered with the kind of moments that remind me to stop and take it all in. Here’s to whatever comes next.
